Varför jag gör det

Jag jobbar som sjutton inför EU-valet nu, om jag får säga det själv, och försöker dessutom hinna med ett och annat åtagande inom bland annat korpfotboll, togaparty-arrangerande, samt (sedan igår) filmskapande.
För en stund sedan skrev en kompis till mig och frågade vad jag gjorde. Jag svarade att jag mailade ut piratpropaganda till några hundra medlemmar i Sundsvalls kommun. Hon svarade med ett något ironiskt “Det låter jättekul. Verkligen.”
Och nej, visst, jättekul är det kanske inte alla gånger. Man kan visserligen ha mycket roligt när man engagerar sig politiskt – man lär känna en massa bra människor och har intressanta diskussioner och känner att man gör något vettigt med sitt liv bland annat – men ibland är det bra tungt att sitta och harva sig igenom allt man måste göra (om man är typen som tar på sig mycket).
Men – och det här är viktigt – det är ändå fasen så mycket roligare än alternativet, att stå där om 20 år framför sina barn och skämmas ögonen ur sig när de frågar “Pappa, vart var du när de avskaffade demokratin i Sverige?”
