Ett ledande dammagasin lät trycka upp en av mina titlar i 80 000 pocketexemplar som sedan låg inplastade ihop med tidningen. För detta erhöll jag inte en krona, eftersom förlaget ansåg – och säkert med rätta – att jag därmed fick en mängd nya läsare. Och då är det plötsligt inget fel på fri spridning av en författares alster.
Ja, jag vet att det här är nästintill en kopia av Joshs inlägg. Men vad ska man göra när man tycker precis samma sak? Dessutom har jag kompisar som inte läser hans blogg, och jag har hur som helst inte direkt någonting emot kopiering överlag så där, så ni får stå ut.
Eller äsch, här kommer ett till citat som är förbaskat talande:

Är det inte då ett märkligt sammanträffande att dessa kanonsäljande giganter som översvämmar de materiella ytor där böcker säljs, som gynnas av prispressad spridning, som praktiskt taget skänker bort böcker till återförsäljare och låter populärmedier få dem som kringprodukter, är det inte besynnerligt att det är just den gruppen som slår hårdast på stora trumman mot den digitala spridningen?
Det skulle kunna betraktas som ren girighet om det inte handlade om så mycket mer än bara feta plånböcker.
Det handlar om kontroll.Och det är kontrollen som håller på att glida de gamla aktörerna ur händerna.
