Hon går just nu andra året på Sundsvalls Konstskola, och Sundsvalls Museum ställer för närvarande ut några av de verk hon och de andra eleverna skapat. Temat är parafraser på kända konstnärers målningar, och hon har valt att måla det här:

Parafraser på kända konstverk är ett bra sätt att utvecklas med hjälp av skickliga förebilder, och innehållsligt effektfullt om man lyckas flika in en samtidskommentar. Så har till exempel Linnea Nyström parafraserat William Turner med ett havsmotiv som känns som ett av utställningens mest välgjorda verk. Skönt och säkert har hon lagt havet på plats, liksom sol- och ljusgatan in mot evigheten – men skeppet bär piratpartiets flagga.
Vi seglar vidare mot framtiden, och vi skäms inte ens för det.
(Tur att William Turner har varit död typ skitlänge förresten, annars hade den här målningen varit olaglig…)
