Kjell Häglund på filmnyheterna.se skriver en krönika med titeln “Tvångssterilisering av filmintresset“, med anledning av en annons från en mängd småbiografer som fått för sig att privatpolislagen är en bra idé. Hela artikeln är så läsvärd att det bara skriker om det, särskilt för den som fått för sig att filmindustrin förlorar pengar på piratkopiering. Ett utdrag:
När en av de ansvariga, Lars Gillegård på Våra Gårdar, här på Filmnyheterna.se i tisdags försökte motivera aktionen var han plågsamt självmotsägande. Det är ju egentligen helt omöjligt att hävda att man drabbats av just negativa fildelningenseffekter när i själva verket biobesöken inte gått ner alls sedan 1997, trots långt färre antal biostolar i dag, och trots att konkurrensen från hemmabiofenomenet och andra underhållningsgenrer exploderat de senaste åren.
Men inte nog med det. Numera är ju ämnet så genomforskat att man börjat tala om en vetenskaplig konsensus när det gäller sambanden mellan fildelning och biobesök och annan filmkonsumtion – nämligen att omfånget av fildelning står i direkt proportion till omfånget av kultursektor och omsättning, i positiva tal. De flitigaste fildelarna går mest på bio och köper mest dvd-filmer. Energin i filmindustrin har blivit fullständigt självalstrande.
En typisk sådan effekt syns tydligt i den färska SOM-undersökningen, som inte bara visar att svenskarna går på bio lika mycket i dag som för 15 år sedan, utan också att siffrorna peakade under ”Sagan om ringen”-åren – tack vare de tre filmer som är världens överlägset mest fildelade.
All upptänklig statistik och alla tillgängliga studier talar alltså skarpt emot annonsbudskapet, både ur fildelnings- och biobesöksperspektiv. Det vore faktiskt riktigare att konstatera att biograferna är beroende av fildelningen, i så måtto att de rider på global filmtrend vars marknadsföring till stor del bygger på fildelning.

♦ Webhackande ondgör sig över den argumentationsteknik som privatpolislagens förespråkare använder. (Om det nu kan kallas argumentationsteknik att hålla för öronen och skrika “lalalalala BINGO!”)
♦ Henrik Alexandersson oroar sig över utvecklingen inom EU, som verkar gå mot mindre fri rörlighet. Det var väl inte så det lät inför EU-omröstningen vill jag minnas? PNR är den nya förkortningen vi lär bli tvungna att lägga på minnet.
♦ Elin Grelsson heter en bloggare som jag länkar alldeles för sällan. Nu har hon i alla fall skrivit (ännu) en bloggpost som fick mig att skratta högt.
Idag har jag hittat min hittills största favorit av de antifeministiska författarna, nämligen K.A. Wieth-Knudsen; en liten förbittad dansk som i sin bok Feminismen från 1924 gör upp med den feministiska teoribildning som då kommit att få alltmer inflytande.
Det handlar alltså om en skogstokig gubbe som … eller äh, “en liten förbittrad dansk” är ungefär så bra formulering som det kan bli. Han verkar hur som helst ha rätt dålig koll på vetenskaplig metodik och dylikt:
Han har också en liten statistik över hur många moraliska kvinnor som kan tänkas finnas:
“Det finns många heroiska och ädla kvinnonaturer. Med ”många” menar jag emellertid statistiskt uttryckt 1 på 10 000, motsvarande heroiska och geniala män, alltså i Danmark bara omkring 150 st. sådana kvinnor. Jag har dock bara träffat ett enda exemplar av dessa teoretiska 150 kvinnor.”
Återigen kan lite källkritik vara på sin plats här.[...]
Och precis som jag skrattar högt åt Wieth-Knudsens argumentationer för kvinnors bristande intellekt, känsloliv och moral, lär man om 90 år himla med ögonen åt Heliga familjen-debatten, regeringsbråk över frågan kring könsneutrala äktenskap och använda Pär Ströms bok som exemplifierande referenslitteratur gällande mindre lyckad antifeministisk kritik.
Humor på högsta nivå alltså. Varför gavs all genuint bra facklitteratur ut före 1930? ;)
♦ En mall för den typ av utpressningsbrev som kommer bli aktuella om privatpolislagen blir verklighet har läckt ut från Antipiratbyråns danska motsvarighet. Rick och Emma passade på att spara dokumentet, ifall skammen skulle bli för mycket och brevet skulle försvinna från webplatsen. Tur var väl det, för nu har de ersatt dokumentet med ett propagandabrev istället.
♦ Jag skrev ju nyligen att upphovsrätt inte är samma sak som äganderätt. Rick Falkvinge menar till och med att upphovsrätt står i motsats till äganderätt.
♦ Rick skriver också om att “stofilpartierna” inte förstår nätet. De etablerade partierna vill gärna använda Internet som kommunikationsmedel, men verkar ha missat att flervägskommunikation är normen här. Istället för dialog och öppenhet så tänker man överlag satsa på reklamfilmer på Youtube, verkar det som. Lycka till. Själv tror jag att den effektivaste nätstrategin vore att på ett respektfullt sätt delta i nätsamvaron, inte att försöka styra den med ett uppifrån-perspektiv.
♦ Ännu mera Rick: Centerpartiet har hamnat i en återvändsgränd. Roligt.
♦ Till sist: Christian Engström skriver om Piratpartiets alternativ till privatpolislagen. Han passar samtidigt på att visa hur mycket kulturbranscherna egentligen lider av fildelningen, med hjälp av statistik från en rapport framtagen av forskare vid Lunds universitet.
