Och visst, det är klart att vinstintresset gör att nyhetsurvalet vrids mer åt det spektakulära och det lättsamma, snarare än åt det allvarliga och det viktiga. Så när man rapporterar från ett upplopp på ett svenskt fängelse blir jag inte alls förvånad över att de skriver om våldet – att en person skadats lindrigt och att anstaltens insatsstyrka lyckades övermanna internerna utan hjälp av poliser.
Men ska det verkligen vara så förbaskat svårt att skriva en enda liten kort rad om vad upploppet berodde på?
Vad ville de intagna egentligen? Var kanske maten för dålig? Fanns det för lite porr i biblioteket? För mycket? Blev interner utsatta för systematiska trakasserier från anstaltens personal? Eller hade de bara tråkigt och ville liva upp stämningen lite?
Den enda anledningen till att jag fortfarande läser Aftonbladet och dylika tidningar är för att jag vill hänga med i det som folk i allmänhet pratar om. Det är ju trots allt från dessa källor som stora delar av befolkningen får i princip allt vad nyheter och samhällsinformation heter.
(Det sistnämnda är för övrigt en riktigt obehaglig tanke.)

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
